Matale Old Thomians' Association - Colombo Branch
Back in 1987, MOTA Colombo had the inaugural meeting under the patronage of great Thomian Mr. A. S. Jaywardarane, at BRC Pavillion with 37 members. Promoters of the OBA were M/s Eric Hulangamuwa, Herbert Wijekoon, Ranjith Alahakoon, M. Manoharan, Late C. H. Hulangamuwa, Milroy Jayathilaka, S. Wijekoon, Cyril Weligamage. Founder president was Mr. A S Jayawardene, the first scretary was Mr. Eric Hulangamuwa and the First treasurer was Mr. C de S Jayawardena.
Continuing the legend and the well balanced life style taught from the great Alma Mater, MOTA Colombo has been upholding and carrying forward an interesting event calendar throughout the past years with the valuable participation of all the members.
Social services, Fund raising activities, cricket fiestas & Annual get-together events Finding space for busy bodies to renew the old friendships with family time many remarkable events are organized by the MOTA – Colombo.
