The 29th AGM and Get-Together
The 29th Annual General Meeting and the Get-Together MOTA (CB) was held on 12th March 2016 at Wet-Water Resort, Gampaha, with the attendance over 116 members and their families.
Mr. Lakshman Silva was unanimously re-elected as the President; while Mr. Ranjith Anthick as the Secretary and Mr. Jineth Pandigama as the Treasurer were re-elected for the year 2016-17 .
Further Mr. Sumith Halvitge, Mr. Niranjan Ellepola, Mr. Kaushalya Navaratne and Mr. Chaminda Rathnayake were elected as Vice Presidents while Mr. Keith Baylan, Mr. M. Ratnaharan, Mr. Lakshman Seneveirathne, Mr. Sumedha Chandrarathne were elected as Asst. Secretaries and Mr. Rashika Ekanayake was elected as Asst. Treasurer.

Mr. C D S Jayawardena was re-elected, As Hony. Internal Auditor – M/s Manoharan Sangakkara & Co (Chartered Accountants) were re-appointed as Hony. External Auditors
The following amendments to the constitution were approved through a resolution:
Clause.12.2 The Financial year shall be from 1st April to 31st March year instead of 1st January to December
Clause.5.a-“ the office bearers of the association who shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting “ from the members who had served in the Executive Committee at least for a period of One Year.
Hence dear friends, please note the next AGM is due in May / June 2017, as the financial year ends in March 2017, and within a period of 3 months the AGM should be held.
Old Thomians and their Families enjoyed the day by participating in the entertainment activities comprising of many competitions, Magic Show etc., accompanied by the Music Band. Mr & Mrs Dampiya Wanasinghe,(Principal) graced the occasion. For the first time- representatives of the Past Pupils Associations (Colombo Branch) of St. Thomas’ Girls School, and the Matale Science College were present on invitation
